Tim Duncan got the San Antonio Spurs in position to pull out a victory. Manu Ginobili nearly took them the rest of the way - until he fumbled a handoff from Robert Horry in the closing seconds.

Josh Howard scored 27 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 21, as the Dallas Mavericks ran past the San Antonio Spurs, 113-91, to even their Western Conference semifinal series after two games.

Except for a push in Game 3 which went into overtime Saturday, Memphis fell easily, giving the Mavericks their first best-of-seven sweep and the Grizzlies an NBA-record 12th consecutive playoff loss.

Mavericks forward Keith Van Horn will be sidelined indefinitely with a broken right hand. Van Horn, the former University of Utah star, was injured during the Mavericks' 108-99 loss Friday night.

Dallas Mavericks' guard Doug Christie retired on Friday due to a nagging left ankle injury. Christie was officially waived by the Mavericks as the two sides apparently came to a contract buyout agreement.
