Jeff McInnis was injured when he dived for a loose ball during practice Saturday evening. He continued to practice, but woke up in pain Sunday and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

New Jersey Nets president Rod Thorn announced on Tuesday that free agent forward Robert Traylor failed his physical and will not be joining the team for the 2005-06 season. Thorn did not elaborate on the reason for the failed physical.

The New Jersey Nets on Tuesday rescinded their trade with the Portland Trail Blazers for forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim and acquired forward Marc Jackson from Philadelphia.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim signed Tuesday with the New Jersey Nets for five years, pending the results of his physical.
